MailBounce Windows FAQ

Current Release: v6.0, May 2003

This document contains some useful information regarding MailBounce and Setup Assistant for Windows.

Q: Which Windows platforms does MailBounce run on?

A:There is only one executable in this distribution; it has been tested on Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000. It has not yet been tested on Windows XP. Note that Windows 95 is no longer an officially supported platform.

Q: I don't like having to manually configure the Preferences file. Are there any plans to make this any easier?

A: Yes; starting with v5.3, MailBounce now comes with a "Setup Assistant" to help you configure the Preferences file.

Q: Okay, the Setup Assistant is better than nothing -- but the current display window in MailBounce is ugly, and Setup Assistant is still a sub-optimal solution. Are there any plans to build a GUI on top of MailBounce?

A: Sorry, but no. MailBounce is designed to run fully automomously, so there are no plans for a GUI on top of the MailBounce application.
